The weather has been less than helpful

The weather has been less then helpful and made getting around the county particularly challenging and at times quite amusing - Farmers never tire of watching the vet fall on his arse in the collecting yard, though sitting for 3 hours on the M20 in snow is not my idea of fun - This constant changing of temperatures is really causing a lot of stress in the calves, and we have seen quite a few outbreaks of coughs and sneezes around the farms... -

Now that all of the snow has cleared, for the moment anyway, and the Christmas decorations have been put in the loft for another 11 months, all thoughts have now turned towards the months ahead - With the calving and lambing season fast approaching, or in many cases already here, the final preparations have been made to watch, assist and aid this year’s crop of new borns into the world...
