National Herdsmans Conference
Monday 23rd (pm) and Tuesday 24th April at Harper Adams University College
The National Herdsmans conference is being held on Monday 23rd (afternoon) and Tuesday 24th April 2012 at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire with the theme Train to Gain.
With highly knowledgeable speakers (see below), not to mention well known farmer and comedian Peter Slack as the after dinner speaker and our very own speaker Westpoint Vet Rob Drysdale, I am sure you will agree that it will be a great couple of days. The conference is relevant for everyone working on dairy farms, from milking cows and calf rearing to the day-to-day management of a herd. It is being run in association with LKL, Countrywide, Metacam for Cattle & Promar.
The conference commences on the afternoon of Monday 23rd April with registration from midday. This is followed by some practical sessions and a tour of the new facilities at Harper Adam. There is also a gala dinner in the evening.
On Tuesday 24th April, speakers at the conference include:
Chris Hudson - Nottingham Vet School
Dick Sibley - West Ridge Veterinary Practice
Rob Drysdale - Westpoint Veterinary Group
Stefan Bergstram - delaval
Paul Henderson - Promar International
Jonny Rider (once-a-day milking) and Adam Atkinson (four-times-a-day milking)
Geoff Booth - herd manager
George Gordon - LKL
