South West Healthy Livestock Initiative (SWHLI)
Coming to a farm near you an exciting series of talks on many subjects to promote the benefits of rearing youngstock as healthily and profitably as possible.
Westpoint Veterinary Group and Blade Farming Ltd have teamed up to run a series of educational meetings and practical workshops on how to best ensure youngstock (predominantly calves) are reared healthily and profitably under the heading SWHYI (SouthWest Healthy Youngstock Initiative), this is sponsored by the Southwest Rural Development Agency (SWRDA) under the SouthWest Healthy Initiative. The workshops will be held across the Southwest region only but anyone can attend, we have had interest from the West Midlands and beyond.
Westpoint Veterinary Group will also be participating in another venture delivered by the Duchy Agricultural College called Healthy Livestock which funds educational meetings and some diagnostic work for BVD, Johne's, Mastitis and Lameness in cattle and general good health and production for sheep.
