Warnham
Warnham was the first branch to open in the Westpoint Veterinary Group. It was started in July 2000, by Rob Drysdale, who identified a gap in the farm vet services for the Southeast England. Having rapidly grown since the one man practice, it is now the head office for the Westpoint Veterinary group employing veterinary surgeons and admin support staff.

Robert Drysdale BVM&S MRCVS 07712 885454 Director of Westpoint Veterinary Group Rob qualified from the Royal "Dick" School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh and spent a number of years in mixed and farm animal practice in the North of England, developing both expertice in farm practice and business knowledge of livestock farming. In 2000 Rob started Westpoint Veterinary Services, the first dedicated farm animal practice in the Southeast of England. Rob is well known for his wide range of publications and public speaking engagements. As well as his monthly column in Southeast Farmer, he regularly publishes in Farmers Weekly, Veterinary Times and UK Vet among other publications. Rob is a regular speaker at BCVA conferences, MDC meetings and a multitude of other events aimed at both farming groups and pharmaceutical companies. His specialist interests include heifer management in dairy farming, game bird health and livestock business reviews for all types of livestock farming. |

Matt Dobbs BMV&S CertCHP MRCVS 07712 576609 Director of Westpoint Veterinary Group Matt, like Rob qualified from the Royal "Dick" College of Veterinary Studies in 1997. Initially he spent time in farm practice in Somerset and Dorset. In 1999, he moved to the University of Sydney, where he took the post of visiting registrar; He helped develop a dairy practice servicing 20000 dairy cows in the Nepean Basin, west of Sydney. On returning to the UK Matt was made a lecturer in Dairy Practice as well as the Head of Large Animal Practice at the Royal Veterinary College. London. In 2001, he was awarded the Trehane Trust Nuffield Farming Scholarship, to look at the modern role of the livestock vet. He gained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Cattle Health and Production in 2003 and is currently undertaking an MSc in Coliform Mastitis. He joined the Westpoint Veterinary Group in January 2004. Matt contributes regularly to the press with publications on the future of farm animal practice, animal health costs of farms and all aspects of mastitis management. He has published in the Veterinary Record, Vet Times, UK Vet and several other publications in the field. He has spoken at numerous conferences in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia, He is also a Council member of Lantra. |

Phil McIntosh BVM&S MRCVS 07809 388381 Phil graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2006, where he undertook an elective in dairy herd health and reproduction as well as completing a final year project comparing the efficacy of different dry cow treatments. He spent his first year at a mixed practice in Cheshire, where he predominantly worked with dairy cattle. Phil joined Westpoint in August 2007, allowing him to concentrate on pure farm animal work. He has a keen interest in dairy cow nutrition and transition cow management as well as the analysis of data from milk recordings. Phil is currently studying for his Certificate in Cattle Health and Production. |

Tom Eley BSc BVetMed MRCVS 07595 414316 Tom qualified from the RVC in 2008. He joined the practice in August 2009 after a one year internship in farm animal medicine working at the Royal Veterinary College, with some time spent working in Westpoint branches at Northpoint and Midhurst. Tom is interested in all aspects of farm animal practice. |

Jenny Torrance BSc (Hons) BVetMed MRCVS 075952 79773 Jenny enjoys all aspects of farm practice. She encourages the use of health planning on beef and sheep units as the prevention and eradication of disease is definitely the future for a profitable farm. |
