Cattle Handling Workshop | Dorset
February 12 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm£30
Safe & Effective Cattle Handling and Optimisation of Cattle Handling Facilities
Together with our partner practice Damory Veterinary Clinic, we have invited guest speaker Miriam Parker MBE to run a workshop on safe cattle handling.
Attendees will learn how cattle view and interact with their surroundings and learn techniques on how to move & handle cattle safely and effectively. Unfortunately more people continue to be killed or seriously injured on livestock farms than in the construction industry, so this might be one workshop you can’t afford to miss!
Attendees will also learn how to make practical changes to their cattle handling facilities (including holding pens, corrals, races & crushes) in order to improve cattle flow and reduce stress to cattle & operators. This workshop will provide excellent training for farm personnel and count towards your Red Tractor staff training requirements – certificates of attendance will be provided
