Westpoint Farm Vets are searching for a proactive, enthusiastic and experienced farm vet to join our friendly and supportive team of vets and administration staff working out of our dog friendly head office just outside Horsham in a low risk TB area.
Horsham is a pleasant town, close to Brighton and the South Coast, the South Downs, Surrey Hills and Ashdown Forest. There are rail links to London Bridge/London Victoria, and it is very close to Gatwick Airport.
There is a varied client base ranging from commercial dairy, beef, small ruminant and camelid, to small holders, open farms, colleges, and pet farm animals. Workload is a mix of routine fertility work, health planning, sick animal work and TB testing, with occasional animal/product exports. If you are interested in teaching and veterinary education, we routinely have farm rotation students from the University of Surrey.
We work a 1:4 rota with a day in lieu per weekend worked.
