Experience veterinary practice with Westpoint

We welcome enthusiastic hardworking students to see and experience practice with us. Listed below are the practices offering EMS placements. It is important that you decide which location(s) is/are most suitable for you and make your application directly to the office manager at that practice. We do not currently offer accommodation.

Due to the high demand from students for places we have implemented the following policy:

• Students must be in the clinical years of their veterinary degree, which in UK vet schools means their fourth year or above, unless they are studying at Cambridge, in which case it would be the fifth year. However, bookings can be made ahead of time.
• Students can only book a maximum of two weeks within an academic year. This is because we would like as many students as possible to experience our large animal practice.
• You must let us know well in advance if you decide to cancel otherwise you may prevent another EMS student from seeing practice with us.

Due to high demand, our places fill fast, so it is best to book early.
